Are You Lost III

I’d like to think that it’s because I’m such a great writer that people are coming to read about my thoughts on music. Of course, what’s really happening is that people are typing crazy things into search engines and ending up here. After reading my fellow blogger Mike Delano’s posts about what search terms lead folks to his site I thought it would be fun to share what leads people to The Audible Stew.

taboo young porn video – I’m not sure what brought this to my website, but if you notice could you tell me so I can take it down? I don’t mind the NSA reading my posts, but I’d really like to keep this guy away.

rage against the machine nude – I stumbled upon this on the Wikipedia page about the PMRC while researching an essay on censorship. It seems like a weird thing to type into Google though.

smashing pumpkins music satanic – I’ve heard it referred to as “shoegaze” but never “satanic.”

    • I have no idea what the guy was looking for when he typed that in, but now the world has something to view when it looks up “dork Jerry Cantrell.”
If this is all I add to the blogging world, I think I’m doing all right.

      • Dude that right there is your duty done to the world. I have never considered Jerry Cantrell a dork, but if that thought had occurred to me, and I googled it, I would be very satisfied with that picture!

I recall an old Canadian interview with Jerry on TV. They were talking about their “serious, dark” image. They were receiving a gold record award for Facelift and the record company guy says to them, “Try not to look so serious in the photos, try to look happy.” Jerry says, “Dude, you have no idea.” The band had blacked out their teeth to make it look like they had gaping holes in their mouths in the photos.

        • Something I’ve always loved about AIC is their sense of humor. Sure, they play really dark, depressing music, but watching the home movies on Music Bank or reading interviews with them you can tell that they’re really fun-loving guys.
I like to think if Mr. Cantrell ever finds his way to this blog he’ll enjoy it as much as we do.

          • Absolutely, I think he’d get a kick out of google terms related to his name!

One thing I have always liked about AiC is their ability to do things not-so-serious. Look at that hidden track on the Sap EP, it’s hilarious! The band joke around a bit on the live unplugged album too.

Maybe Cantrell might be considered a dork by some standards, I’m sure he considers himself a “music nerd” like us, but dork? Nah.
